Resale Buying Policy

At Caterpillar Kids, we are proud to be able to offer new and gently used baby clothing. If you are interested in selling your clothing, please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the following policy:

    Clothing Requirements:

  • Clothing size preemie to 8; simple onesies to expensive outfits, new or used, with or without original tags

  • All clothing must be freshly cleaned/laundered (within a week of the appointment)

  • NO stains, rips, odors, pet hair or fading

  • We typically will pay more for brand name clothing or items with originals tags

  • We accept seasonal clothing all year long, including costumes and dressup outfits

  • Please remove from hangers

    DVD Requirements:

  • Suitable for children; original DVDs in the original cases

  • No scratches, skipping or burned DVDs

    Footwear Requirements:

  • Toddler sizes 1 to 10 and children's sizes accepted

  • In excellent condition or unused with original tags

    Baby Gear Requirements:

  • Acceptable gear: All types of strollers excluding travel systems(car seat combos), bouncers, playards/playpens, swings, walkers, bassinets, changing tables, soft carriers, framed carriers, bath tubs, exersaucers, outdoor play sets, toddler beds, toddler/crib mattresses and more. Call to inquire on other items.

  • No cribs or car seats due to safety concerns. Only certain brands of carriers are accepted, please call for details.

  • Manufactured within the last 3 years (most cases acceptable if purchased within the past 2 years)

  • Includes fresh batteries if battery operated

  • No stains, fading, missing pieces or broken parts

  • Any material/accessories on the item must be freshly machine washed or the offer will be adjusted to include the cost cleaning

  • Manuals are appreciated, but not required

    • Maximum of 30 pcs (clothing sets counted as one item) and 3 oversized items (over 24 inches long) are allowed per appointment. Appointments are accepted daily, both mornings and afternoons and operate on a "drop-off" system. Offers and payment are claimed the next day or within 7 days. If you have only 1 or 2 "gear" items that you'd like to sell, we can accept you as a walk-in provided the buyers are available that day. Call for details.

    How Much Will You Receive?

    Based on the estimated resale value determined by Caterpillar Kids, you receive 30% in cash or 45% in store credit. Store credit will be placed onto a gift card that has a 10 year exp.


    All items Caterpillar Kids are unable to purchase will be returned to the customer or donated to charity upon request. Donation slips for tax purposes are also available.
