Resale Buying Policy

At Caterkids, we are proud to be able to offer new and gently used children's clothing, baby gear and furniture. If you are interested in selling your baby items, please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the following policy:

    Clothing Requirements:

  • Clothing size preemie to children's 10/12; simple onesies to expensive outfits, new or used, with or without original tags.

  • All clothing must be freshly cleaned/laundered (within a week of the appointment). Clothing not recently laundered will not be accepted.

  • NO stains, rips, odors, pet hair or fading.

  • We typically will pay more for brand name clothing or items with originals tags.

  • We accept seasonal clothing all year long, including costumes and dressup outfits

  • Please remove hangers and place in a shopping tote bag. No plastic bags or containers please.

    DVD Requirements:

  • Suitable for children; original DVDs in the original cases

  • No scratches, skipping or burned DVDs

    Footwear Requirements:

  • Toddler and children's sizes accepted

  • Clean and in excellent condition or unused with original tags

    Baby Gear & Furniture Requirements:

  • Manufactured within the last 5 years

  • Includes fresh batteries if battery operated

  • No stains, fading, missing pieces or broken parts

  • Any material/accessories on the item must be freshly machine washed or the offer will be adjusted to include the cost cleaning

  • Manuals are appreciated, but not required

  • We DO NOT accept any recalled items, cribs, car seats, potty training items, diaper pails, nursing or bottle products and certain types of baby carriers. Please call for details.

    Maximum of 30 pcs (clothing/shoes only, gear and furniture do not have limits) are allowed per appointment. Clothing sets and footwear pairs are counted as one item.

    Appointments are required if selling clothing, shoes, blankets or bedding. Appointments are accepted daily, both mornings and afternoons and operate on a "drop-off" system. Offers and payment are claimed the next day or within 7 days.

    Non-clothing items do not require appointments, PLEASE CALL BEFORE YOU ARRIVE TO ENSURE A BUYER IS ON SITE AND THE BUYS HAVE NOT CLOSED FOR THAT DAY. Yes, we do have a max of how much we can buy in a single day!

    How Much Will You Receive?

    Based on the estimated resale value determined by Caterkids, you can expect to receive up to 60% of the estimated selling price!

    You always have the option of declining our offer, or accepting the cash or store credit.

  • Clothing & accessories: 30% Cash / 45% Store Credit

  • Footwear & DVDs: 30% Cash / 45% Store Credit

  • Baby Gear & Furniture: up to 60% of the estimated resale value (cash or credit)

    All items Caterkids are unable to purchase will be returned to the customer or donated to charity upon request. Donation slips for tax purposes are also available.
